Summer is almost here! And that means events will be in full swing here in the Myrtle Beach resorts and condos area.
So, if you’re visiting us in June, here’s a list of what’s coming up that you can enjoy while on vacation.
Carolina Country Music Festival
The biggest event of the summer, and years, in Myrtle Beach is the upcoming Carolina Country Music Festival. Being held June 5-7, the festival will be centered near the boardwalk and feature some of country music’s biggest stars. Artists performing include: Big & Rich; Lady Antebellum; Eric Church; the Marshall Tucker Band; Colt Ford; and more. There will also be a special pre-festival concert on June 4 featuring Sam Hunt. Tickets are still available for both VIP and three-day general admission options.
Conway Riverfest
Taking place on June 27, Conway Riverfest is an independence themed celebration taking place along the Waccamaw River in downtown Conway. A popular festival for both locals and vacationers, it features raft races, live entertainment, artisan market, tennis tournament, kid-friendly activities and will cap the evening with fireworks.
Hot Summer Nights
A Boulevard staple, this year’s “Hot Summer Nights” entertainment program, which takes place along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, will kick off on June 9 and run through September 5. As in years past, there will be FREE nightly events beginning in June and running through August. These events will include the Boardwalk Kids Carnival, which features inflatables, kids’ bands, but the event isn’t just for children as some of the hottest up and coming rock, country and funk bands will be playing at the “I Love Sugar” stage located in Plyler Park. Did we mention there are nightly fireworks?
Cool Summer Evenings
A treasured asset of the Grand Strand, Brookgreen Gardens will be hosting their “Cool Summer Evenings” program beginning June 10 and running through August 7. During the summer, the gardens are open until 9 p.m. allowing for folks to hit the beach during the day and unwind in the evening at Brookgreen. Cool Summer Evenings will include concerts, boat rides and kids’ programs. In addition, dinner will be available in the Pavilion Restaurant.
