The Intracoastal Waterway along the Grand Strand is home to a number of bars, restaurants and marinas as well as great spots for live entertainment. Each restaurant on the waterway has a personality of its own as well as delicious dishes to serve even the hungriest of captains whether you’re meandering through Little River and North Myrtle Beach or coasting by the marinas in Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet.
We’ve broken down a list of some of our favorite places to eat along the Intracoastal Waterway near some of the best resorts in North Myrtle Beach.
Greg Norman Australian Grille
Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach, SC
This upscale Barefoot Landing restaurant offers its guests great food with even better views. Pick a table inside or outdoors to experience the full views of the waterway as you watch the boats go by. The menu at Greg Norman Australian Grill features cooked-to-order fish, pastas, 100% pure Angus beef steaks and wood fired specialties. The Shark Pub and Patio offers a daily happy hour with great food and drink specials like teriyaki glazed salmon bites and shrimp tacos. The restaurant is also open for lunch and brunch serving a Wagyu Hot Dog, a New South Wales Lobster Roll, Escargot, and Crab Melt among many other sandwiches, salads, and appetizers.
Lucy Buffett’s Lulu’s
Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach, SC
Lucy Buffett’s Lulu’s is known for its fun, food and family-atmosphere in another Barefoot Landing setting. Take a look around after docking your boat and you’ll see why. A giant, sandy beach area is perfect for letting your little ones run off some steam while you sip on a cocktail from the bar. Live bands perform nightly during the summer months and they host several family-friendly events throughout the year. Lulu’s extensive menu features starters, appetizers, salads, seafood platters, burgers, sandwiches, a wide variety of allergy-friendly items and so much more. They take allergies very seriously at the establishment and have a separate kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Lulu’s is also home to a Ropes Course and Arcade for extra fun all year round!
357 Raw
3205 Marina Parkway, Myrtle Beach, SC
The aptly named 357 Raw is located at the end of the Grande Dunes Marina in Myrtle Beach overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway at mile marker 357. The restaurant shows off a modern, casual elegance in a gorgeous setting with both indoor and outdoor seating. The Dockside Lunchables menu is served for lunch and offers Fish and Chips, a Coastal BLTA, Chicken or Shrimp Rice Bowls, and more. 357 Raw offers many other menus including a Raw Bar, Main dishes, Sunset Happy Hour specials, starters, flatbreads, desserts, and more. Treat yourself to one of their many Coastal Cocktails while you watch the boats cruise by and live the dockside life (even if it’s just for a night).
The Landing at the Boathouse
201 Fantasy Harbour Blvd., Myrtle Beach, SC
Known for its popular summer concert series, The Boathouse is another great stop along the Intracoastal Waterway in Myrtle Beach. The restaurant is home to a large indoor bar and dining room, outdoor dining, beer garden and outdoor bars. Grab some munchies or sandwiches inside or out and sip something from their extensive beer and beverage menus. The Blackened Shrimp Nachos, Boathouse Chicken Bog Balls, Duck BLT and Chicken Avocado Club are all popular menu items at the waterfront restaurant in Myrtle Beach. The outdoor concert series plays every Sunday from April through Labor Day and they also feature Free Show Fridays throughout the year on the indoor stage.
Big Chill Island House
Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach, SC
Big Chill Island House recently opened its shiny new doors at Barefoot Landing in a beautiful waterway setting. From stylish island decor to unforgettable views this may just become your favorite spot along the ICW! They offer many seating areas inside and out with two floors to accommodate a large number of guests. The menu includes a mix of soups, salads, starters, bowls, sandwiches, Island Classics, Land and Sea Entrees, and desserts. Their signature dishes are Chicken Peanut Mango Salad, Birria Beef Ramen, two unique ceviche dishes, and an Island Lobster Roll! Pro tip: Book a reservation during the summer months on Mondays and stick around to watch the fireworks show during Barefoot Landing’s summer entertainment lineup.
Outriggers Bar & Grill
Wacca Wache Marina, Murrells Inlet, SC
Outriggers is located at the Wacca Wache Marina in Murrells Inlet. The restaurant features gorgeous waterway views under the shade of a tree that’s the centerpiece for the outdoor dining room. Indoor and covered dining space is available in case you’re looking for a bite to eat while dodging a quick storm. They offer a variety of seafood, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, seafood boils, and wings. Don’t miss their Margarita Monday with $5 Margaritas all day and Music Bingo at 6 p.m. On Tuesdays they have weekly taco specials along with $6 Tinis and Wine Down on Wednesdays with half off all premium bottles or glasses of wine. Outriggers offers plenty of live entertainment and they do take reservations.
Boardwalk Billy’s Raw Bar & Ribs
1407 13th Ave. North, North Myrtle Beach, SC
Boardwalk Billy’s has been one of the most popular Intracoastal restaurants since it opened in the Spring of 2013! This North Myrtle Beach staple serves everything from sushi made to order to a Quinoa Veggie Burger. The menu offers traditional burgers, crab legs, nachos, wings, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees like Pacific Rim Tuna, BBQ Beef Ribs and Boardwalk Billy’s Famous Oyster Roast. Boardwalk Billy’s has live entertainment seven nights a week during the season and two to four nights a week during off peak months. Their large bar and outdoor area offer plenty of seating and there’s also several dining areas indoors.
Local Bar & Kitchen on the Water

Local on the Water has quickly built a reputation in the boating community as a hot spot on the waterway. They serve lunch and dinner daily with a menu that offers a little bit of everything from salads and flatbreads to seafood entrees and ribs. Diners rave about the seafood chowder, crab dip, house-made pizzas, Brisket Nachos, and the fresh Seafood Boil. Live music is performed nightly all summer long.
Filet’s on the Water
2120 Sea Mountain Hwy., North Myrtle Beach, SC
Filet’s on the Water offers two amazing waterfront restaurants in a beautiful setting along the Harbourgate Marina in North Myrtle Beach. Filet’s Waterfront Steaks, Seafood & Sushi features hand-cut aged steaks, the freshest seafood and sushi rolls along with an extensive cocktail and wine list in a casual indoor atmosphere. Capt’n Dilligaf’s Tiki Bar and Deck feature fun views of the Little River Swing Bridge in a casual setting. They serve a full dinner menu as well as Happy Hour specials and live entertainment.
