Everything You Need to Know About the Taste of the Coast
Spring is in the air, and nothing could be more delicious than one of the tastiest upcoming events in the Myrtle Beach resorts and condos area served on the calendar: the 12th annual Taste of the Coast April 27.
Returning to the House of Blues in Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach, this family-friendly culinary event scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. raises funds for Risen Christ Christian Academy to support its ongoing educational opportunities.
What to Expect
Taste of the Coast is one of those House of Blues events that will feed all of your senses, showcasing food booths from more than 25 of the finest area restaurants. Last year’s Taste featured eateries offering specialties from Bimini’s Oyster Bar, Wild Wing Café, Sticky Fingers, Dick’s Last Resort, Joe’s Crab Shack, the host House of Blues and many more.
Live entertainment, such as dance and music performances, is also expected throughout the special event, plus fun children’s activities in the free Kids Zone, like games, contests, character appearances, face painting, balloon twisting and more.
Taste of the Coast has come a long way from its inaugural event in 2007 originally called Sonfest that began with 2,500 attendees. This year, thousands more from the church and local community will add to those numbers for this flourishing, all-day spring festival.
Tickets
Tickets for Taste of the Coast are $5 day of the event or $3 (children 12 and under are free) if purchased in advance at Risen Christ Christian Academy (10595 North Kings Highway, Myrtle Beach); food and activity tickets are $1 each. Call the Academy for more info.
