Wine Festival to Benefit Children’s Volunteer Health Network
The eighth annual 30A Wine Festival is a must-experience venue for the vintner’s craft and the culinary arts. On an even larger scale, is the reason behind the event. This 30A event supports Children’s Volunteer Health Network, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing access to health services for children in Walton and Okaloosa counties. This festival returns to the beautiful Alys Beach on 30A in South Walton, showcasing world-renowned vintners and culinary greats starting Wed., Feb. 20th and runs through Sun., Feb. 24th.
The 30A Wine Festival opens on Wednesday with a unique wine dinner featuring four courses by Alys Beach Executive Chef Drew Dzejak. “Oysters and Champagne in Central Park” is the Thursday night event hosted by Garden & Gun magazine. Friday night features “Bourbon, Beer & Butts,” a barbecue and bourbon tasting highlighting some of the best pitmasters and distillers from throughout the country with live music to set the lively scene. Saturday, wine lovers will enjoy seminars followed by the evening grand tasting along the town’s picturesque streetscape where over 80 wines will be showcased. The festival will close with “Rosé & Croquet,” featuring rosé tastings, a delicious brunch, and the beloved croquet tournament (croquet whites encouraged). The 30A Wine Festival schedule is one that surely will not disappoint.

Tantalize your taste buds with the list of famous vintners and chefs sitting among foodies’ and wine lovers’ list of favorites. David Bancroft, Phil McDonald, John Currence, and Todd Pulsinelli are just a few of the culinary masterminds that will be in attendance and lavishing the attendees with tasty pickings. Wine lovers will rejoice as they brush shoulders and chat all things vino with vintners from Blackbird Vineyards, Alexana Winery, Tournesol Wine, Soter Vineyards, and many more.
Spirits and Beer? Can’t forget them. Spirits from American Freedom Distillery, Garrison Brothers Distillery, Old Forrester, and WhistlePig are just a few on the lineup. Breweries in attendance at this 30A event include Grayton Beer Company, Back Forty Co., Trim Tab Brewing, Idyll Hounds Brewing Company, and Victory Brewing.
This event is not just cabernet all day! In conjunction with The Alys Foundation, the proceeds from this event benefit Children’s Volunteer Health Network, an organization that supports Walton and Okaloosa County’s large population of low-income families who are unable to access high-quality health services due to the unavailability (or inadequacy) of insurance. The mission of CVHN is to improve the health and well-being of children in need. All services are free to kids enrolled in school in Walton and Okaloosa Counties who are on the free or reduced lunch programs. The vision of CVHN is for all of God’s children to be healthy, happy and see their futures as limitless.
