South Walton Halloween

South Walton has a handful of events amongst its communities that are sure to please the spook-seekers and the candy-cravers!

Witches of South Walton Charity Ride & Brunch

Oct. 29 & 30, 7am
30A
The Witches of South Walton (and their friends) meet around the area and ride their “brooms” (bikes) along Highway 30A. Ride participants come dressed to impress as a witch, and a broom (bike) is needed for participants. There are five total rides to be a part of: The Founders Ride, Bluewater Ride, Sunset Ride, Watersound Ride, and the Goblin Ride. All of this fun is to raise money to assist the Children’s Volunteer Health Network and spectators are always welcome to cheer on the participants the morning of the ride!

Halloween on the BOOlevard

Oct. 31, 4-7pm
Grand Boulevard at Sandestin
Get creative and bring the kids and dogs, dressed in their bewitching best. The event is free and open to the public. Kids can go trick-or-treating in a safe and friendly environment at participating stores throughout Grand Boulevard.

Trick-or-Treat Seaside

Oct. 31, 4-6pm
Seaside, 30A
It’s time for ghosts, goblins, princesses, and kids of all ages to go door-to-door collecting candy from the Seaside merchants to feed their sugary appetites. Come out on Halloween and visit merchants all around town, hear spooky stories with the Seaside Rep Theatre, and do the monster mash with terrifying tunes in Central Square. This event is free and open to the public.

The Zombie Stomp

Oct. 31, 5-10pm
The Bay, South Walton
Spooky, scary, cute, or goofy! Wear your best costume and take it over the top –  the winner of the adult costume contest will win $500! From 5-7pm, The Bay will host a kids costume contest with great prizes and plenty of candy to go around. There will also be fun, halloween foods (like Spaghetti brains and Halloweenies) for the kids! Then, from 7-10pm The Bay welcomes adults to participate in a costume contest. Must be present to win. Dance the night away with DJ 30A on the beach, hop in the photo booth, and get ready for the best Halloween beach party ever!

This eerie event will be full of kid’s creepy crafts, fantasy face painting, and trick-or-treating. Get creative and bring the kids and dogs dressed in their bewitching best for the costume contest. After the contest, kids can go trick-or-treating in a safe and friendly environment at participating stores throughout Destin Commons.
