Just in case you haven’t heard, Brookgreen Garden’s Harvest Home Festival Weekend begins October 4, 2025. This weekend festival is family-oriented with plenty of outdoor activities scheduled such as face painting, pumpkin painting, hayrides, scarecrow building, square dancing, live entertainment, and plenty more events. The festival takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 and Oct. 5 at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
Pick out your own pumpkins and create a silly or cute design. Pumpkins are $5 for small and $9 for large. You can also create your own scarecrow to take home for just $7 – bring your own outfit to dress him in. Event tickets are included with paid garden admission.
They’ll also have delicious food trucks, including (Saturday) Campbell Catering/Dead Dog Saloon, Let’s Ride BBQ, Lemon & Dough, and Beachside Fluff; (Sunday) EZ Cheezy, Let’s Ride BBQ, Lemon & Dough, and Beachside Fluff. Harvest Restaurant, The Old Kitchen, and The Courtyard Cafe will also be open during the weekend event.
Doug & the Dob will perform at 10 a.m.; 12 p.m; and 2 p.m. The Sea-Cruz Band will perform at 11 a.m.; 1 p.m.; and 3 p.m. during the Harvest Home Weekend.

Brookgreen Gardens is a national historic landmark with the most significant collection of figurative sculptures in any outdoor setting by American artists in the world, and has the only zoo accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums on the coast of the Carolinas. Founded in 1931, the expansive gardens are the location of various festivals, exhibits, and events throughout the year.
