Mountain climbing, hiking trails and parks are just a few things you can do when you come to Pigeon Forge. But have you ever been horseback riding? This historical city in Tennessee offers ranches, stables and tours by horseback around the area. Horseback riding is rumored to have started around 1600 BC. Now, horseback riding is not only a way of transportation, but a sport and relaxing way to tour the Smokey Mountains.

Whether you lead yourself or are being lead by a professional, you will have an experience you’ll never forget. Just make sure to leave your backpacks, purses, food and drinks behind before you start off on a trail. If you know your way around Pigeon Forge and you want to do a self-guided tour, you can visit one of the many stables in the area that provide horseback riding services like Next to Heaven, Five Oaks and Walden Creek. Many of the stables and ranches around the area offer guided tours as well!
