Downtown Flavortown

Construction continues on Guy Fieri’s Downtown Flavortown at the site of the Myrtle Beach Mall. Expect arcade games, bowling, a tiki bar, and his famous flavors on the menu in 50,000 square feet of space. No official date has been set, but most reports say developers hope to be open by summer 2026.

MYR International Airport to Add Flights & Updated Terminals

Myrtle Beach International Airport has seen major upgrades to its terminal, which now includes six new gates. Allegiant Airlines will begin direct routes between Myrtle Beach and Dayton, OH; Atlantic City, NJ; and Elmira Corning, NY beginning in May 2026. MYR hosts 10 airlines with nonstop flights from more than 50 cities.

Alley Oops

Alley Oops is a new mini-bowling, gaming, and restaurant complex opening soon in North Myrtle Beach. The family-friendly restaurant will be a great place for fun indoors on those extra warm summer days or cool winter nights. The menu posted on their website shows off a wide variety of entrees, appetizers, handhelds, burgers, specialty drinks, and desserts. The new location can be found at 3607 Hwy. 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach. Alley Oops currently has three other locations on the East Coast.

Myrtle Beach Pelicans Field Renovations

Pelicans Stadium will see some major improvements for its 2026 baseball season in Myrtle Beach. Two brand-new clubhouses, an athletic performance center, umpire facilities, new stadium seats, an LED scoreboard, and more are a part of the multi-million dollar update. The 2026 Myrtle Beach Pelicans season will still welcome your favorite nights on the ball field, like fireworks shows, visits with local mascots, and theme nights with food and drink specials in the impressive new setting.

Ole Smoky Distillery and Yee-Haw Brewing Co. are bringing a new brewery concept to Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach this year. “This collaboration enhances our guest experience with unique craft beverages and lively events, and is a perfect addition to our entertainment landscape, providing a fresh and vibrant spot for both locals and visitors to enjoy,” said April Martin, Senior VP of Leasing and Design at Burroughs & Chapin. We’re ready to see what’s brewing in 2026!

Pickleball Picks Up in Myrtle Beach

Pickleball is growing in popularity all over the country, and the Myrtle Beach area is no exception. Visit Coastal Pickleball and Golf: Pin Point Myrtle Beach for some indoor pickleball in North Myrtle Beach. It’s home to nine indoor pickleball courts, seven golf simulators, and a chipping and putting area. The PicklePort will have indoor and outdoor pickleball courts and will open across from the Myrtle Beach Airport in the third quarter of 2026. The Dink District is a large facility that will be home to 14 pro-grade courts, a pro shop, and more in central Myrtle Beach near Highway 501.
