Saint Patrick’s Day, also known as the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on March 17th every year. It is named after Saint Patrick, the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. This day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland as well as the heritage and the culture of all things Irish. It’s no surprise then that there are many events held around the Myrtle Beach area on behalf of the holiday. We suggest you come out and take part in them whether you’re Irish or not.
We have some Myrtle Beach condos with vacancies over the holiday where you’re welcome to come and stay. There are oceanfront, ocean view, fairway view, and plenty of Myrtle Beach condos in between. Just give us a call at Condo World or reach us through our website and we’d be happy to get you settled in so you can make the most of the holiday.
North Myrtle Beach will hold their annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, March 15. The parade starts at 9 a.m. and travels along Main Street. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the largest parade on the Grand Strand and includes over 100 entries. Two announcing stations are located along the parade route; in the median at BiLo Shopping Center and at the corner of Hillside Drive and Main Street.
The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk will be the location of the 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival from noon until 11 p.m. on March 15. This is a four-block long seaside street festival, music festival and carnival all along the boardwalk and boulevard in Myrtle Beach. Come out and enjoy local and national recording artists performing on one of the area’s largest and loudest stages. There will be talented performers, dozens of vendors and local businesses offering products “open air” style along the boardwalk and a day long Irish Beer Garden. There will also be midway rides, bounce houses, games, face painting, pony and camel rides and lots more. You won’t want to miss one of Myrtle Beach’s biggest one-day festivals of the year!
The 5th Annual Irish Fest will be held at The Market Common from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 15. It’s a great family friendly event with something for everyone including plenty of draft beer, Irish food, live entertainment, vendors and lots of activities for the kids.
