While it may seem that Myrtle Beach is home to just fruity boat drinks and tiki bars, we’ve also got quite a few options for the more sophisticated drink palate. The Grand Strand is home to martini bars and restaurants that create some of the most unique drinks around the beach. We’ve done some serious sipping around the Myrtle Beach resorts and condos area to find some of the best martinis in town – whether you prefer them shaken or stirred.
Martini
With a name like this, they’d better have martinis on the list! Martini, located just a few block away from North Shore Villas in North Myrtle Beach, features nearly 20 different types of martinis including an entire list of Cosmopolitans, premium selections and dessert drinks. The Peach Cosmo can’t be beat with peach vodka, peach puree, triple sec and cranberry juice. Feeling like James Bond? Order the 007 with the traditional mix of vodka, gin and vermouth with a lemon twist.
Bistro 90
Located just off the beaten path in Longs, SC is Bistro 90. This popular spot features a four-page long drink menu with concoctions like a Cherry-Pom Drop, French 90 and the Triple Chocolate Martini. We recommend staying the traditional route and ordering The Owner’s Martini carefully crafted with Belvedere unfiltered vodka, a smidge of olive juice and hand-stuffed bleu cheese olives.
Sea Blue Restaurant & Wine Bar
Sea Blue Restaurant and Wine Bar is tucked away in an unassuming plaza in North Myrtle Beach but it’s somewhere you definitely need to find. Just a few blocks away from Ocean Keyes, their drink selection certainly matches the exquisite food with options like the Black Russian Martini or Double Blue Martini. The Raspberry Flirtini is the one to beat and is made with Ciroc Red Berry, Patron Citronage, cranberry and pineapple juices and just a dash of Simonet Blanc de Blanc. Cheers!
The Melting Pot
The Melting Pot may be known for its cheesy and chocolately fondue but they’ve got some amazing cocktails to round out the meal. The Love Martini and Yin and Yang Martini are traditional favorites at TMP but if you want to drink like a local, order the Caramel Apple Martini. It’s made with vodka, apple and butter schnapps and served in a caramel-rimmed glass.
Co Sushi
Co Sushi at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach offers a variety of unique twists on martinis and cocktails to complement their sushi and poke bowls. Their concoctions include the Lychee-tini, Dirty Togorashi and the Nigori Peach which features vodka shaken with sake, peach nectar and mint. Pro tip: specialty drinks are $5 on Wednesdays!
Key West Grill
Our next stop brings us to Broadway at the Beach where Key West Grill is mixing up nearly ten different martinis and dozens more cocktails and drinks. The extensive drink menu includes tasty options like the Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Orange Crush Martini and Melon-tini. When you’re in Key West it seems most appropriate to go for the Key Lime Pie Martini with Liquor 43, key lime liqueur, lime juice and cream served in a graham cracker rimmed glass.
Ruth’s Chris Steak House
Ruth’s Chris Steak House pulls out all the stops for its food and the drink menu is no exception. Martinis are a main feature on the long list of serious cocktails and fan favorites include the French Martini, Dirty Goose Martini and Godiva Chocolate Martini. Want something a bit refreshing? Try the Raspberry Rosemary Cosmo featuring Skyy Raspberry Vodka, Cointreau, fresh lime juice, cranberry juice muddled together with raspberries and fresh rosemary.
Sea Captain’s House
The house made martinis at Sea Captain’s House pair perfectly with amazing beach views from nearly every table. The beachy cocktails here include several fruit forward options as well as dessert drinks. Celebrate a special occasion with a Summer Sweet Martini featuring Prosecco and Stoli Strawberry Vodka shaken with fresh strawberry puree.
Travinia Italian Kitchen
Wednesdays aren’t just for wine at Travinia Italian Kitchen at The Market Common – they’re also for half price martinis! The list includes a Double Dirty, Limoncello Lemon Drop and Blood Orange Martini plus a few classic options. Our favorite is the Marilyn made with grapefruit vodka, St. Germain, Ruby Red Grapefruit, lemon juice and sour – a citrus lover’s dream!
Collector’s Café & Gallery
Collector’s Café and Gallery is so much more than your typical bar or restaurant. This unique art gallery/bar/coffee shop/restaurant carefully crafts cocktails based on the season like the cucumber mojito (not a martini but still delicious) and the Pomegranate Rosemary Martini. Stop in for a night cap and order the Collectors Espresso Martini featuring Kahlua, vanilla vodka and espresso in a sugar rimmed glass.
