LEGOLAND Miniland USA is a gigantic display of some our country’s most well-known destinations – just on a very small scale. With the first exhibit built in 2011, there are so many incredible miniature features in every angle within this attraction that you may have to browse through it several times. You don’t want to miss these displays:
California
There are so many sights to see within the Golden State, and Miniland captures some of the best, like the Golden Gate Bridge and Pier 39 in the foreground of the San Francisco skyline, plus LA landmarks like the Hollywood Bowl, Griffith Observatory and the Chinese Theatre.
Daytona International Speedway
If you feel the need for speed, this replica of the infamous racetrack at Daytona Beach at 1/20 scale will wow you with its nearly 300,000 LEGO bricks. If you listen closely, you’ll even be able to hear tires squealing and cheers from the crowd.
Florida
You can travel through the Sunshine State all in one place, from Key West to the Panhandle to Central Florida, home of LEGOLAND!
Kennedy Space Center
Blast off with this giant replica of America’s treasured space program, which just celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The display showcases the space shuttle, launch pad and the renowned Vehicle Assembly Building.
Las Vegas
The city that never sleeps has been recreated right before your very eyes with Legos, complete with the famous Vegas sign and the Strip, featuring the Luxor, New York Hotel and Casino, Tropicana, MGM Grand and more. There are even tiny elements inserted into the city, like a mini wedding chapel and sounds from Vegas.
LEGO Star Wars
Star Wars fans will appreciate seven of the most famous scenes from the epic movie series recreated in 1.5 million LEGO bricks in 1:20 scale. Some of the models are life-size, with interactive buttons, making for perfect photo ops for the kids.
New York
The Big Apple has been shrunk down to a Lego-sized marvel of the city’s greatest sights, like Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and more.
Pirate’s Shores
It’s a pirate’s life for you on Pirate’s Shores, where you’ll witness pirate ships anchored in a lagoon, swashbuckling pirates on the hunt for buried treasure and one unlucky chap who is forced to walk the plank.
Washington, D.C.
Miniland’s inaugural section features the most revered buildings of our nation’s capital, including the White House, the Washington and Jefferson monuments, the Smithsonian and more.
From Miniland, head toward the front entrance of the park, where all of your favorite “LEGO Movie” characters come to life in The LEGO Movie World section of the LEGOLAND theme park, which is located next to Fun Town near The Beginning at the front entrance. Fun Town features an all-American mix of rides, a 4D theater, dining and minifigure shopping stops.
