Shelter Cove Towne Center
Shelter Cove Towne Center is a gorgeous, multi-use development housing dining and shopping There’s also great events throughout the year here. The Shelter Cove Community Park (opened in 2015) is adjacent to the shopping center and overlooks Broad Creek. Shopping includes Belk, Copper Penny, Francesca’s and Jos. A. Bank, as well as a host of others. There’s also a Pure Barre shop in case you need to get a little concentrated exercise in. Lululemon is slotted to open their pop up shop soon. There’s also eateries, coffee shops and bakeries. Live music with spectacular sunsets as a backdrop are hosted here often and movie nights are the perfect family outing. The Village at Wexford
A tony little “village” of shops, merchants and restaurants located on 1000 William Hilton Parkway, The Village at Wexford is serene stroll shopping. Locals and visitors alike love the village with clothing, jewelry and boutique shops. There’s also about 8 different bars and restaurants to stop by, as well as salons to make those beach waves in your hair even more natural-looking. There’s always something going on-tastings, art gallery exhibits and food tours.
Coligny Plaza Shopping Center
A beachy shopping experience right smack in the middle of all the action, with Coligny Beach steps away! There’s several local shops that are only found in Hilton Head here. A few national name brands but the charm of this plaza is its unique specialty shops such as Magnolia Body & Bath, The Shell Shop and Fresh Produce. An indie movie theater is here as well and Hilton Head’s Symphony Orchestra offices. Restaurants, ice cream and coffee shops, bakeries and a couple of wine shoppes to purchase a bottle of vino to take back to your condo after ending your day with a stroll on the beach. The Herb Room Organic Apothecary
A sweet little shop to purchase and learn more about natural products and tinctures. Buy herbs by the ounce or more and there also lots of balms, flu fighters and remedies for what ails you (and members of your family). This is a popular shop founded by a husband and wife team in 2008 who believed in putting the good in, and leaving all the harsh chemicals out. Visit their website. Tanger Outlets Hilton Head
The Hilton Head Tanger Outlets are really in nearby Bluffton. Only a couple of miles from the Hilton Head bridge at 1414 Fording Island Road, it’s a beautiful Tanger Outlet mall, all dressed up in pastel colors. J. Main Street Village
This small shopping plaza has the ambiance of a European village and has been here for over 20 years. There are shops, art galleries and restaurants. Frankie Bones, a favorite local’s restaurant is here and serves lunch, dinner and brunch. If you’re in the mood for Thai, Ruan Thai Hut opens at 4:30 p.m. Visit Main Street Village Hilton Head.
Port Royal Plaza
Located in the middle of the island at 95 Matthews Drive, this small plaza is worth a visit for its intimate atmosphere and affordable shopping. You’ll also find a wine & spirits shop, salon and a nice choice of cheap eats and moderately priced restaurants.
Sea Pines Resort
This resort has upscale shopping including antiques, clothing, tee-shirts, flip flops, home decor and unique shops that you’ll only find at this resort. There’s 3 different shopping areas; 149 Lighthouse Road at Harbour Town (it has Hilton Head’s iconic lighthouse); 71 Lighthouse Road at the Sea Pines Center, where you can stroll among the oaks or take a trolley car; and South Beach at 232 South Pines Drive-a boardwalk with a host of shops, boutiques and restaurants.
