Oscar’s Food & Spirits
4101 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC

This sports bar landmark first opened in 1988, when owners Oscar “Freddie” Williams and his wife, Carla, migrated to the beach from Pittsburgh. Although Oscar’s may favor the Steelers fans for that reason, they welcome fans of all teams to come cheer and have a beer from any of the 20 they have on tap. With pool tables, darts, and video games, Oscar’s is also family-friendly. Menu musts are the wings (choose from nearly 20 sauces) and any of the “Pittsburgh-style” specialty sandwiches stacked with fries, tomatoes, and house slaw, served with a side of fries and coleslaw.
Dagwood’s Deli & Sports Bar
4101 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach

One of a trio of Dagwood’s area locations, this sports bar in North Myrtle Beach is the newest, open since 2022, with the original location dating back to 1988. The Grumpy Monk
4200 Highway 17 South, North Myrtle Beach, SC

This massive sports bar, also one with three locales, boasts flat-screens at every turn of the two-level floor plan, so there’s not a bad seat to catch the game in the house. And don’t forget to feast on their famous wings, nachos, smash burgers, hand-rolled sushi, and more.

This North Myrtle Beach sports bar, owned by namesake Michael Calhoon, a retired chief deputy from outside of Pittsburgh, opened only a few years ago, but it hasn’t taken long to be wildly popular, known for being family-friendly and serving big portions. Calhoon is a huge college sports fan, and it shows, with the saloon’s 15 60-inch flat-screen TV, a Jumbotron, cornhole on the patio, and plenty of beer offerings. The food menu features Calhoon’s Pittsburgh roots, including Braveheart brand burgers and steaks, square-cut pizza, Pittsburgh-style salads, Ohio Valley sandwiches, wings, and more bar munchies.
