Broadway at the Beach
There are loads of places at Broadway that make amazing backdrops for your family photos! Go inside Ripley’s Aquarium or stand in front of WonderWorks – the famous upside down house. Hard Rock Cafe in the Avenues is a hot spot for photos all year-round as well as pictures all around Lake Broadway. Right outside of Broadway at the Beach is the Hollywood Wax Museum and Helicopter Adventures which will give you very unique photo opportunities from high in the sky too!
Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing offers terrific views of the Intracoastal Waterway from several different restaurants and lawn areas. The Alabama Theatre is a grand building with wonderful theater shows making it a great spot for the perfect family photos inside and out. Visit the best waterfront restaurants at the Barefoot like Greg Norman’s Australian Grille, Taco Mundo, Lucy Buffett’s Lulu’s, and the brand new Big Chill Island House. The complex features a bevy of special events year-round on their waterfront stage and there’s also a great playground just next to Crooked Hammock Brewery which offers even more photo opps. Whether you are in the Low Country Village or the Harborwalk Village, there are plenty of photo-ready places for you!
The Murrells Inlet MarshWalk
With live music every night you can always find a great place to take selfies! There are plenty of events at the MarshWalk as well and with multiple waterfront dining options like Drunken Jack’s, Dead Dog Saloon, and Wahoo’s, you can always find a good backdrop for your new favorite photos. Grab a selfie on the rooftop at Wicked Tuna or even aboard one of the boats in the marina – with permission from the captain of course! There’s even a pirate ship adventure your little ones will love!
Brookgreen Gardens
The scenery at Brookgreen Gardens is picture perfect! You can make an entire album out of all the photos you’ll take here at the sculpture gardens, zoo, children’s storybook area, butterfly exhibits, and more any time of year. The botanical gardens are gorgeous, and you’re able to submerse yourself in the rich history of the land. Their annual Nights of a Thousand Candles is also a great time for amazing pictures as the gardens are illuminated by thousands of hand lit candles and twinkling lights.
The Market Common
Stage the perfect picture around the lake at The Market Common. There is a trail around the water and a large all abilities playground for the kids as well. Visit the shops and restaurants as well and take tons of pictures before you leave! They also offer complimentary carriage rides throughout the complex around the holidays and during the summer months offering lovely backdrops for pictures of the beautifully kept area in central Myrtle Beach.
The Carolina Opry
If you want a beautiful indoor backdrop for your photos, go see a show at The Carolina Opry. The lobby is absolutely stunning for your pictures and you’ll love the songs and dance numbers in The Carolina Opry, Time Wrap and Christmas shows while you’re at it! Even the building itself is enough to warrant a few more photo opps.
The Beach
The Myrtle Beach oceanfront resorts area is one of the best places to take pictures. During sunrise and sunset the sky has so many beautiful colors and it makes the best background for a family photo or romantic picture for two. The Piers at the Beach
