Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach (and the surrounding communities) area home to a bevy of Halloween-themed events throughout the month of October. Enjoy the beautiful weather and head out to a costume contest or a Halloween party with scenic views and plenty of treats! We’ve broken it down to some of the top events in the South Strand, North Myrtle Beach, and the Myrtle Beach area.
Myrtle Beach Halloween Events
Broadway at the Beach will host their annual Halloween Bash on The Avenues with a live DJ and prizes for the best costumes. The fun starts at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 24.
Take your little ones trick-or-treating around Broadway at the Beach from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, October 31.
The Patch at Broadway at the Beach will be open daily throughout the month with a hay maze, pumpkins, and great spots for family-friendly photos.
Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach will host a Halloween Glow Dance Party from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, October 24. They serving Halloween-themed food and drink specials, hosting a live DJ, and of course there will be costumes and dancing. Tickets are $29.99/adult; $19.99/ages 3 to 11; and $9.99/ages 3 and younger. Tickets include aquarium admission, a buffet-style dinner, glitter tattoos, specialty drinks, a glow dive show, and a meet and greet with a mermaid.
Trick-or-Treat at the Ballpark is planned for 4:30-8 p.m. Thursday, October 29 at Pelicans Ballpark. Admission is free and open to all ages; however, tickets are required to reserve your spots. Concessions and adult beverages will be available to purchase inside the stadium.
Halloween Fest at The Hangout is planned for 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. Saturday, October 24. They’ll host a live DJ, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, live music with Mr. Nigel and Friends, and a festive photo booth. Kids can also participate in arts and crafts as well as carnival games throughout the day.
Downtown Myrtle Beach will host Franken-Fridays beginning October 2 with family-friendly entertainment, street performers, and live music from 5-8 p.m. Silly Spooky Saturdays will have more live music and entertainment plus Halloween-themed shows. Slime Sundays will include green foam parties in Plyler Park along the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.
The Market Common’s Hometown Halloween will be held on Saturday, October 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Shops with an orange balloon will be participating in trick-or-treating. There will be witches, goblins, ghosts, and more haunting the complex.
Get your tickets to see Wicked Wonders Halloween Magic Show at Charles Bach Wonder Theater in Myrtle Beach. The excitingly spooky magic show features the talents of Charles Bach who’s performed in front of huge crowds in Las Vegas. You’ll see ghost-like figures, experience black out sessions, and see amazing magic tricks right before your eyes. The show is recommended for guests 13 and older.
Nightmare Haunted House in downtown Myrtle Beach has been scaring folks since 1989. This year’s theme is Zombie Zone Undead Adventure and the attraction opens daily at noon!
Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is open at noon all month long. The downtown attraction has turned into a haunted manor and your job is to escape the murder mystery twists and turns throughout the tour. Ripley’s Haunted Adventure is recommended for ages 6 and older.
The City of Halloween, SC (also known as Conway during the other months of the year) has a slew of Halloween-themed events planned all month long. Drive to this charming city that’s filled with pumpkin adorned trees, spooky skeletons, and a pumpkin patch. They’ll be hosting Pirate Adventures, Ghost Excursions, a BBQ festival, Pedal Pub tour, Ghost tours, Halloween movie nights, and even a Skeleton Orphanage. North Myrtle Beach Halloween Events
BooFest! is back at Barefoot Landing! Bring your kids (furry ones too!) out to the complex for a costume contest, inflatables, a pumpkin patch and special activities. BooFest! will be held from 12-4 p.m. Saturday, October 24. Don’t miss the great photo opps around the North Myrtle Beach entertainment complex!
Join North Myrtle Beach for the annual Halloween BOOnanza party with magic shows, games, trick-or-treating and marshmallow roasting. Howl-o-Scream will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, October 24 at the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Entry for ages 3 and up is $5 (cash only) and children 2 and under are free! Concessions are also available for additional fees.
Trick or Treat at Barefoot Landing on Halloween night! Bring your kids in costume out from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, October 31 to walk around and collect candy from participating stores.
New for 2026 is Little River Fright Nights with plenty of goblins and ghouls along the waterfront. Dead Man’s Dock Haunted House Experience is open from 7-11 p.m. October 2, 3, 4; 9-11; 15-18; 23-25; and 29th- November 1. The cost is $25/person. A self-guided Trail of Fear will wind down through the businesses and restaurants that are decorated for the season. Trunk or Treat is planned for October 29 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and is free to attend or to participate.
Crooked Hammock Brewery is hosting a Spook-tacular Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, October 25 and November 1. They’re offering spine-chilling cocktails and mocktails and their seasonal craft beer brews. Dress up for their costume contest! A pumpkin decorating station will be set up for the little ones (while supplies last) and reservations are strongly suggested.
The Marina Bar will host its 8th annual Halloween Party from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 31. Kellie J and Larinza will perform live and a costume contest will be held at 8:30 p.m.
South Strand Halloween Events
Halloween on the MarshWalk is planned for October 31 at participating restaurants in Murrells Inlet. Trick-or-treating begins at 5 p.m. followed by a kids’ costume contest at 6 p.m. near Drunken Jack’s. The adult costume contest will begin at 7 p.m. with more than $4,000 in cash and prizes. Be sure to register between 7-8:30 p.m. near Drunken Jack’s and Wahoo’s to enter the costume contest and be sure to explore the restaurants and live entertainment along the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk.
Book a Ghost Cruise from Crazy Sister Marina every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in October. The family-friendly cruise is a one-hour ride and delves into the rich history of ghosts and legends of the MarshWalk and surrounding areas.
